Do you realize the incredible potential you have by faith in Jesus Christ? I know that even when you think about this your mind argues with you saying, “Well, if that’s true, why am I struggling with this, that and the other thing?”
Jesus never promised us that life would be easy.
He did promise us that He would be with us, even to the end of the age. Paul, a man who was greatly used by God and arguably one of the greatest men that ever lived, talked often about his weaknesses and trials, opposition and frustrations… . Paul had stuff! But in the midst of all the trials, he tightly hung on to Jesus. He stayed close to the Lord, as the Lord made all things to work together for his good.
So what about you! And what about me?
Are we going to let ourselves become consumed by the madness all around us? Are we going to let ourselves be overcome by the evil we see happening around us. Are we going to wrestle with this crazy world each day? Or, are we going to stay close to our best friend, living in His word, walking in His spirit.
Jesus is our great hope.
He is our blessed future, our wonderful opportunity to share in the glorious plans He has for us. Those very plans that He is bringing forth to pass for those who love Him? So, when life seems to be closing in all around you, call out to His wonderful name! Take a few minutes to be quiet and meditate on His Word. Let Him even use your trials and tribulations to make you a better person. To make you more like Him. Think about the great promise we have as we hold on tight to Him. All this will pass, but the Word of the Lord continues forever.
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them. For God knew His people in advance, and He chose them to become like His Son, so that His Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And having chosen them, He called them to come to Him. And having called them, He gave them right standing with Himself. And having given them right standing, He Gave Them His Glory.
