Of course people do not want terror. There are many things in this world that are pretty terrifying. So many things seem out of control! So many people are dealing with issues that are so much bigger than they are and well beyond anything that they can handle on their own. On top of all the personal issues people are wrestling with, we have organizations like Isis who make it their goal to keep you off your game, to get you to worry, to be terrified, rather than to go forward in life and do the things which will bring fulfillment and satisfaction. Some people live their lives in fear, embracing worry as a close friend, rather than getting the help to get them beyond the terror and into peace and fulfillment in life.
What is the answer for trust or terror?
Unfortunately, many people do not want to trust God with their problems and future either. They want the answer NOW! The assurance of everything being under control, NOW! FAITH! You say! I want to know each step in exquisite detail NOW, so I can tell you if it is going to work!
I’m sorry to say, life does not work that way and neither does faith. You really should not be telling God how to run the show. I think He can do a much better job at it than we can. But if you want to see how well He does with our terrors, worries, concerns, trials, then you must trust Him! Let Him do it His way, in His time, with His Wisdom, omnipotence, omniscience, omnipresence… I think He has it covered!
How can you cooperate with His winning gameplan?
- Pray- Ask for His help and keep on asking!
- Trust Him- To do it His way, in His time, in His wisdom, not yours.
- Cooperate-Keep close to Him, in prayer, in His Word, and watch Him do His awesome work, and cooperate. Ask Him what you can do to contribute to the effort.
- Thank Him- Thank Him for the answers to your prayers and you will see them answered.
Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up. When the time comes.
